Honor launches 13-inch Android tablet with 120Hz display and Snapdragon processor

Honor has started the international rollout of the Pad X9b Max tablet, with the company's regional stores listing it in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Peru and Turkey. The Philippines is also set to receive the tablet on September 2026.

The Pad X9b Max first appeared in China under the Pad X10 Pro Max name, which Honor released there in August 2026. The international model carries the X9b Max branding, while the Chinese version was offered in Standard, Soft Light and Study editions. Honor has not officially explained the naming difference between the two markets.

The Pad X9b Max has a 13-inch LCD with a 2500 x 1560 resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Honor rates the panel at up to 700 nits and lists a 16:10 aspect ratio, around 228ppi pixel density, DC dimming and hardware-level low-blue-light protection. The display also carries IMAX Enhanced certification.

The tablet measures 11.72 x 7.59 x 0.26 inches (297.62 x 192.72 x 6.72mm) and weighs 1.36 lb (618g). It has four speakers with DTS:X, Hi-Res Audio and Hi-Res Audio Wireless support.

It is powered by the Snapdragon 6s 4G Gen 2, an octa-core processor based on a 6nm process, paired with up to 6GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, depending on the market. Honor's RAM Turbo feature can add up to 12GB of virtual RAM. A microSD card can also expand the storage by up to 2TB. The international model is listed as Wi-Fi-only in the markets checked.

The 10,100mAh battery supports 45W SuperCharge. Honor claims up to 16 hours of local video playback and up to 13 hours of reading. The company also advertises up to 90 days of standby time under its specified conditions.

The Pad X9b Max sits alongside the Honor Pad 10 (currently available on Amazon) in the company's tablet lineup. The Pad 10 has a smaller 12.1-inch 2.5K 120Hz display and the same 10,100mAh battery, but uses the faster Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset.

The tablet has a 5MP rear camera with autofocus and a 5MP front-facing camera. It also supports the Honor Magic-Pencil 4s and Smart Bluetooth Keyboard.

The combination of a large display and battery is not unusual in this segment. Huawei's MatePad Air 2026, for example, has a smaller 12-inch OLED display, weighs about 509g and also uses a 10,100mAh battery, but supports faster 66W charging.

On the software side, the Pad X9b Max runs MagicOS 10 based on Android 16. It also supports PC-style features and cross-device functions for sharing files and other content between compatible Honor devices.

Pricing and availability

Honor lists the Pad X9b Max from AED 849 ($231) in the UAE for the 4GB/128GB Wi-Fi version.

In Saudi Arabia, the 4GB/128GB version is available for SAR 999 ($266), discounted from SAR 1,199, while the 6GB/128GB and 6GB/256GB versions cost SAR 1,099 ($293) and SAR 1,499 ($400), respectively.

In Peru, the 6GB/256GB version is listed at S/1,999 ($595), with a promotional price of S/1,699 ($506).

In Turkey, the 6GB/128GB Wi-Fi version costs TRY 21,999 ($452) and comes with a keyboard and Pencil. 

In the Philippines, the tablet costs PHP 19,999 ($318) without a keyboard and PHP 21,999 ($350) with one. Sales start on September 19, while eligible buyers during the launch promotion can also receive a free JBL GO4 speaker worth PHP 2,599.
