Hisense’s RoamView combines a 32-inch 4K Android touchscreen, built-in battery and wheeled stand for flexible use across multiple rooms. Its hefty price tag, substantial weight and lack of a TV tuner, however, may limit its appeal.

Hisense has introduced RoamView, a 32-inch touchscreen display mounted on a wheeled, height-adjustable stand, part of the company's Lifestyle Series aimed at homes where a single fixed television or a too-small tablet doesn't fit every situation. The idea is straightforward: rather than installing another permanent screen, users roll one large display to wherever it's needed, be it the kitchen, a workout space or the bedroom.

Running on Android, 8GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage, RoamView features Google Gemini, touchscreen controls, a wide-angle camera with a physical shutter, microphone and speakers. Its 3,840 x 2,160 ELED panel runs at 60Hz with HDR10, but there is no Dolby Atmos or built-in tuner, making RoamView more a large Android smart display rather than a conventional TV.

A built-in battery is central to the RoamView's portability, with Hisense claiming up to 10 hours of use on a full charge, though this figure is Hisense's own estimate, so real-world runtime may vary. Moreover, the device weighs about 55 pounds with its stand, making it best suited to homes with flat, obstacle-free floors.

The Hisense RoamView 32S6S costs $2,000 in the US and £1,700 in the UK. At that price, its value depends heavily on whether buyers will actually exploit its ability to serve multiple rooms and purposes rather than leave it permanently parked. In Canada and elsewhere, it is listed as "coming soon."
