Garmin has now released a new update for several Pro-branded smartwatches, including the Fenix 7 Pro series. For reference, we doubt that the new update is available to the new non-Wi-Fi models that Garmin quietly released last week, the launch of which we have covered separately.
According to Garmin's forum post, the rollout of Beta Version 15.74 is now at 50% rollout. This also applies to regular Fenix 7 and Epix 2 smartwatches, which started receiving an equivalent update earlier this week. However, any eligible smartwatch enrolled in Garmin's Public Beta program can request a new update even if it falls outside Garmin's target rollout percentage.
As Garmin notes in its forum post, you can request a new update by heading to Menu, System, Software Update and then select 'Check for Updates' on your Fenix 7 Pro, Fenix 7X Pro, Fenix 7S Pro or Epix 2 Pro. The changelog applicable to Beta Version 15.74 for these smartwatches is listed below. Please see Garmin's forum post for installation details and further advice.
- Fixed potential issue where the app list and or widget glances lists would be modified after a software update.
- Fixed potential shutdown with smart notification images.
- Fixed potential issue with audio prompts when approaching a roundabout.
- Updated Translations.
