Garmin Fenix 7, Epix 2 and Forerunner 55 successors all rumoured for 2024 releases among other wearable refreshes

Rumours about Garmin's 2024 product refreshes have started appearing online, courtesy of the5krunner and Fitness Tracker Test. To recap, Garmin has had a busier year than most of its competitors, with it kicking off 2023 in February through the Vivomove Trend (curr. $269.99 on Amazon). Since then, it has introduced the Forerunner 265 and Forerunner 965, as well as new Instinct 2 and Fenix 7 models.

Additionally, Garmin released the Approach S70, plus the Epix 2 Pro and Venu 3 series, among other models. Recently, there has been evidence that second-generation Lily smartwatches are being readied as the Lily 2 Classic and Lily 2 Sport editions, details of which we have covered separately. Currently, the the5krunner and Fitness Tracker Test estimate that the Lily 2 series will debut in early 2024 with the HRM Fit heart rate monitor that also surfaced earlier this week.

Unfortunately, this appears to be speculation on their parts, with Fitness Tracker Test admitting to engaging in 'wild guesswork'. Thus, the suggestion that cheaper Forerunner models could be refreshed as the Forerunner 65 or equivalent appears to centre on Garmin's decision to only launch more expensive models this year. The same applies to the notion that the Epix 3 and Fenix 8 series could appear in late 2024 too, with no evidence to suggest that this is actually the case.
