MagyarWithings ScanWatch Nova launches as a luxury hybrid watch with 10 ATM housing, ECG and 30-day battery life
The Withings ScanWatch Nova is a more luxurious alternative to the ScanWatch 2. The biggest difference is the stainless steel case in the design of a diving watch, which is waterproof to a depth of 10 ATM and can thus be worn for swimming or snorkeling without hestiation. The watch has a diameter of 42 millimeters.
The "sunray dial" has hands and indices that glow in the dark. Sapphire crystal protects the dial from scratches. The ceramic and stainless steel bezel can be rotated. A small 0.63-inch round AMOLED display, which can only display grayscale, is discreetly integrated into the dial. This screen can display incoming notifications or some of the watch's smart functions.
Withings clearly focuses on health features, as the ScanWatch Nova has a heart rate and SpO2 sensor as well as an electrocardiogram (ECG) and skin temperature sensors. The watch also supports sleep tracking and automatic tracking of more than 40 activities. According to the manufacturer, the battery lasts for 30 days under normal use. The hybrid watch is compatible with both Apple iPhone and Android smartphones.
Price and availability
The Withings ScanWatch Nova is available exclusively via the manufacturer's online store in a choice of black, blue or green, each priced at US$599.95. Withings includes an Oyster metal wristband and a fluoroelastomer sports wristband, but also offers other wristbands in store for an additional charge.
