Garmin smartwatch with large display and titanium bracelet now available
The Garmin D2 Mach 1 Pro smartwatch is rolling out to countries globally following its launch in October. The wearable, designed for pilots, is now available to ship in one to three days to customers in the US, Australia and EU countries, including Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
Those in other European countries such as the UK, the Netherlands, Belgium, and France still have a one- to two-week waiting time, while those in Sweden see an estimated delivery time of up to eight weeks. The aviator smartwatch is currently only available to order or pre-order via the Garmin store, whereas the standard D2 Mach 1 wearable can be purchased at Amazon.
The Garmin D2 Mach 1 Pro has a 1.4-in (~36 mm) AMOLED touchscreen, the largest the brand offers, with a 454 x 454 px resolution. The watch has a durable titanium bezel and bracelet and is 10 ATM water resistant, meaning you can use it for surface swimming or snorkelling. Features include a built-in LED flashlight, producing red or white light with variable brightness. A red shift mode changes the screen’s color to filter out blue light and protect your night vision. Other tools include aviation weather, NEXRAD radar layered over maps and navigation without a connected phone. Plus, the Garmin ECG app, several music apps and Garmin Pay contactless payments are included. You can buy the Garmin D2 Mach 1 Pro smartwatch for $1,399.99/€1,649.99/£1,449.99/A$2,429.99.
