GMK K4: New mini-PC now orderable with AMD Ryzen 9 7940HS APU
GMK has started selling its rumoured Zen 4-based mini-PC series. However, it does come with Ryzen 7040H APUs. Instead, GMK has based the K4 on the Ryzen 9 7940HS; the same leak suggested that there could be a Ryzen 7 7840HS option eventually, too. For now, GMK only offers the K4 through AliExpress. Liliputing expects the company to bring the mini-PC to Amazon and its global store eventually, though.
The Ryzen 9 7940HS gives the GMK K4 an octa-core CPU that can boost to 5.2 GHz and a Radeon 780M iGPU. For reference, AMD builds the APU on a 4 nm process and allows it to scale between 35-54 W when needed. By default, GMK sells the mini-PC as a barebones unit, with twin SO-DIMM slots (DDR5-5600) and an M.2 2280 slot for PCIe 4.0 SSDs. Alternatively, the company sells pre-configured models with 1 TB of storage and 16 GB or 32 GB of RAM. Moreover, the GMK K4 has the following ports:
- 1x 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet
- 1x 3.5 mm jack
- 2x HDMI
- 1x USB 2.0 Type-A
- 3x USB 3.2 Type-A
- 1x USB4 (DisplayPort 1.4 Alt Mode/40 Gbps)
GMK has managed to fit all these ports within a 123 x 112 x 43.2 mm chassis, as well as a small fan for keeping components cool. The GMK K4 currently starts at US$569.99 with a US$20 store coupon but rises to US$689.99 for the cheapest pre-configured variant. Meanwhile, GMK charges US$779.99 for the K4 with 32 GB of RAM and a 1 TB SSD.
