Minisforum Venus NPB5 surfaces as a Core i5-13500H-powered NPB7
Although the Minisforum Venus NPB7 still has to start shipping (if everything goes as planned, this will happen in mid-June), it already got a less potent (and more affordable) sibling. Unveiled earlier today, the NPB5 is nothing else than the NPB7, but powered by the Intel Core i5-13500H instead of the Intel Core i7-13700H.
These are the Minisforum Venus NPB5 configuration currently listed by Minisforum, their early bird prices, as well as the full retail values:
- Barebone, US$389, US$479
- 16 + 512 GB, US$499, US$619
- 32 + 512 GB, US$539, US$669
- 32 GB + 1 TB, US$569, US$709
The Minisforum Venus NPB5 can be acquired with US, UK, or AU power adapters, as required. Except for the barebone version, the others will also come with Windows 11 Pro preloaded. Depending on the local regulations, the prices above will be pushed up by import duties and shipping fees.
If the hardware configurations mentioned earlier are not enough, it is useful to know that the NPB5 supports up to 64 GB DDR5 memory and also features space for a 2.5-inch storage unit. Connectivity-wise, everything is in place: 2 X HDMI, dual 2.5 GBit/s Ethernet ports, 2 X USB 4, WiFi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, and more.
According to Minisforum, the Venus NPB5 should ship next month as well, but roughly one week after the NPB7.
