Dimensity tops AnTuTu’s January 2024 best Android phones lists
Every month, AnTuTu reveals two lists of smartphones that performed the best throughout the month. These rankings are mainly about how many points each Android phone got in the benchmarking tool. For the two lists of January 2024, the two Android phones with Dimensity chipsets have performed better than the others.
To be specific, on AnTuTu’s January 2024 list of the best flagship Android phones, Oppo Find X7 secured the top spot. It packs the Dimensity 9300 and scores 22,09,932 points on AnTuTu v10. The iQOO 12 Pro stands second with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. It scored 22,06,859 points in the benchmarking tool.
The third best-performing flagship Android phone on the list is the Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro (ROG Phone 7 curr. $959.99 on Amazon). It also packs the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 but gets a slightly lower score of 22,04,998. One thing to note here is that the difference between the scores of the top three phones is marginal.
So, even though MediaTek Dimensity 9300 has a lead, it only has a score difference of 3,073 from the 2nd, which is not significant for the AnTuTu benchmarking tool. But there’s a noticeable difference for the phones below the first three spots, which come with the same chipsets as top 1 and 2 smartphones. It’s likely due to better cooling systems found in the top three phones.
Moving to AnTuTu’s latest list of the best mid-range Android phones, Redmi K70E took the topmost spot with the Dimensity 8300 Ultra. It scored 13,82,150 points, while the Realme GT Neo5 SE with Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 scored 11,52,981. In this case, the score difference is noticeable, which implies that MediaTek’s 8300 Ultra is a better-performing mid-range SoC.
It’s worth noting that benchmark score shouldn’t be the only factor one should consider before purchasing a smartphone, but it’s something you can’t ignore either. After all, it gives you an idea of how well the phone will perform in real-world scenarios. You can check the scores of other Android phones in the lists from the images attached below.
