After making a name for itself in the Android-powered handheld gaming space, Ayaneo announced in March that it would release its first Android gaming tablet in May. While the device, which is called the Ayaneo Gaming Pad, has missed its launch date by a couple of months, Ayaneo showcased it again alongside a key accessory during the livestream of its 2025-2026 strategy sharing session.
A working prototype of the Ayaneo Gaming Pad was shown during the livestream, and as reported earlier, the tablet has a transparent design and will be available in black and white color options.
The device appears thicker than some other compact gaming tablets such as the RedMagic Astra. Although, the thickness of the Ayaneo Gaming Pad can be attributed to its cooling fan, the large cooling vent on one of its sides, and the unspecified large battery capacity.
An interesting observation is that the working prototype shown during the livestream has a different rear camera design. Unlike the renders provided back in March (and also shown during the livestream) which have dual rear cameras and an LED flash, the working prototype has a single rear camera that protrudes a bit and is missing an LED flash. It is not known if the working prototype is the final design or if the Ayaneo Gaming Pad will retain the design that was originally revealed in March.
The Ayaneo Gaming Pad has a curved metal frame which houses the power button, volume rocker, air vent, and an unknown button on the right; while a headphone jack can be seen on the left side. There's also a USB-C port at the bottom and it is flanked by two slits that are most likely for the speakers. In addition, Ayaneo has placed an indicator LED at the lower back of the tablet which lights up when the tablet is charging.
In addition to the tablet, Ayaneo also showcased the telescopic game controller designed for the tablet. The controller, which will be available in yellow and black, connects to the tablet via USB-C like the Razer Kishi V3 Pro Gaming Controller (available on Amazon for $148.49). It has asymmetric joysticks with ring lights, ABXY action buttons in an Xbox layout, two additional shoulder buttons, two back buttons, and switches for adjusting the triggers. Ayaneo says the controller will be sold separately.
Despite being two months behind its scheduled release date, Ayaneo still didn't say when the tablet will eventually be released, save for that it “will be officially unveiled soon”. However, it did confirm some of the device's specifications such as an 8.3-inch IPS display with a 2K (2266 x 1488) resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a 3:2 aspect ratio. It will also have a Qualcomm processor which was reported earlier to be the Snapdragon G3 Gen 3.
