The end of July is fast approaching. As a result, Anbernic only has until Thursday to maintain its monthly device release schedule. With that in mind, the company has just posted an official unboxing video, which we have embedded below.
For some reason, Anbernic is still leaving fans in the dark about when its latest device will be available though, let alone for how much. Nonetheless, Joey's Retro Handhelds indicates that the Anbernic RG477M will be available imminently. Specifically, the YouTuber claims that Anbernic will open preorders on July 29. A precise time remains unknown for the time being, though.
According to Joey's Retro Handhelds, Anbernic has decided to price the RG477M at $239 with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. Alternatively, the device will be sold for $289 with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. For context, one can currently pick up the Retroid Pocket 5 for $259 on Amazon with a larger display, roughly the same performance and superior GPU driver support. As always, Anbernic will be running early bird offers. Reportedly, these will run to $20 for both SKUs. Please see Anbernic's video below for more details.
