Ayaneo has decided to refresh the Pocket DMG again after releasing its AM03 mini-PC earlier this week. Incidentally, the company's latest refresh is its second inside of a month, with a Bright Silver variant arriving before Christmas. Fundamentally, both the Bright Silver release and new Aura Yellow version contain the same hardware as the original Pocket DMG that launched almost two years ago (curr. $511 on Amazon).
As such, the Aura Yellow edition leverages Qualcomm's Snapdragon G3x Gen 2 chip set and a 450-nit OLED display spanning 3.92-inches diagonally that outputs at 1,240 x 1,080 pixels. Moreover, the Pocket DMG contains a 6,000 mAh battery and a hidden touchpad that surrounds its physical joystick.
Arguably, Aqua Yellow is the Pocket DMG's striking colour option yet with a full yellow casing complemented by matching shoulder buttons. Additionally, Ayaneo offsets the yellow with red X, Y, Start and Select buttons. The new Aqua Yellow release starts at $339 with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage, but rises to $419 for its 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB storage variant.
