After weeks of dropping bits of information about its upcoming handheld, Mangmi has finally decided to release the full spec sheet of the Pocket Max. The decision to release the full details is believed to be a hint at a proper launch happening very soon.
The Mangmi Pocket Max will have a 7-inch AMOLED display with a 1920 × 1080 resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. It will be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 865 processor, the same chip in the AYN Thor Lite and Retroid Pocket 5 (available on Amazon for $249). According to the spec sheet posted on X, there will only be one SKU available, and it will have 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of UFS 3.1 storage.
Mangmi will include an 8,000mAh battery capacity that charges at 27W via a USB-C port, which also has support for video output. Other ports on the Pocket Max are a 3.5mm headphone jack and a MicroSD card slot. The handheld will also feature Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, and an active cooling fan. It will ship with Android 13 out of the box.
The Mangmi Pocket Max will have asymetric TMR thumbsticks with RGB ring lights, Hall Effect triggers, a 6-axis G-sensor, and magnetic modular D-Pad and ABXY buttons. There are also two customizable back buttons on the handheld.
The spec sheet says the Mangmi Pocket Max will weigh 450 grams which makes it heavier than several of its rivals such as the AYN Odin 3 and Konkr Pocket Fit which weigh 390 grams and 386 grams, respectively. The dimensions of the Pocket Max are given as 254.87 × 101.06 × 17.45 millimeters. Earlier this month, Mangmi confirmed that the Pocket Max will be available in White, Black, and Retro GB colors.
It is expected that Mangmi will follow up this reveal with a launch date and pricing details.
