The Analogue 3D was announced back in October 2024 as a modern remake of the N64 console. Analogue said the console, which is a 100% compatible recreation of the N64, spent 4 years in development. Pre-orders were scheduled for October 21 and shipping set to begin in Q1 2025. However, shipping didn't happen as planned and the release was postponed to July. Now, Analogue has announced another postponement.
Posting via its X account, Analogue says the Analogue 3D will now begin to ship in late August. It cites the sudden changes in tariffs that happened last week as the reason for the delay. However, it says those who pre-ordered won't have to pay any additional fees as the company will take on the difference. Analogue will also provide refunds for those who wish to cancel their pre-order.
There's a chance the console will get a price bump in the future once it is available for open purchase. It's current price is $249.99 and you get the console, a 16GB SD card, an HDMI cable, USB cable, and a USB-C power supply. Available in Black and White, the Analogue 3D doesn't come with a controller.
If you want a controller, you will have to order the 8BitDo 64 Bluetooth Controller which has been specifically made for the Analogue 3D. It is available to pre-order on Amazon for $39.99, and thankfully its July 30 release date hasn't changed. The controller is also compatible with the Nintendo Switch, Windows, and Android devices, so you can still make use of it while you wait for the Analogue 3D's arrival.
