The Swift Go 14 AI isn’t the best-looking laptop around. But it’s attractively priced, especially if you can get it on sale. At just $800, you get a well-built and fully-configured laptop with a very good IPS display. But perhaps more important, it’s also fast for productivity users and it gets excellent battery life. You’ll want to make sure your apps are supported on Windows on Arm, but that’s less of an issue than it’s been in the past. If you can look past the lackluster design, the Swift Go 14 AI is easy to recommend.

There’s a lot going for the Acer Swift Go 14 AI, from its colorful 14.5-inch display and fast SSD to its long battery life and silky touchpad. However, it plummets due to its poor performance, mushy keyboard, and dim screen. If you don’t mind skipping out on the AI features, you’ll get better performance and a snappier keyboard with the Asus Zenbook 14 OLED. However, the Swift Go 14 AI’s touchpad is way smoother despite its misalignment. And you get longer battery life and a faster SSD. So, you have to choose what to prioritize.

While the AI branding is a bit much, and the plastic display bezel is a bit of a bummer, the Swift 14 AI -- with its Intel Core Ultra Series 2 processor that delivers a next-gen NPU and incredible battery life -- is a good, if basic example of a Copilot Plus PC. The problem for Acer is the Asus Zenbook S 14 supplies a superior OLED display inside a lighter and more rigid Ceraluminum shell for just $100 more. Advantage: Asus.

The Acer Swift Go 14 AI is a solid step up over its predecessors, offering noticeable improvements across the board. Thanks to the new integrated Intel Arc GPU, graphics performance has also improved significantly, offering performance close to that of entry level dedicated GPUs like the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2050. The accompanying 14-inch WQXGA+ OLED display is fantastic, and excellent for both content creation and consumption. At Rs. 84,990 as of writing this review, we don’t see any reason why one shouldn’t consider the Acer Swift Go 14 AI if they’re in the market for a thin and light laptop. The Swift lineup of laptops from Acer has always been a staple in the mainstream and thin & light laptop market.

Qualcomm Adreno X1-85 3.8 TFLOPS: An integrated graphics adapter that four Qualcomm Snapdragon X processors feature, as of Sep 2024. It has 1,536 unified shaders at its disposal that are said to run at up to 1,250 MHz. The underlying architecture is reportedly in many respects the same as what was used in the Adreno 730. While thankfully faster than the aging Intel Iris Xe (96 EUs), the Adreno fails to match the Radeon 780M meaning Baldur's Gate 3, a triple-A title released in 2023, is barely playable at 1080p on low with 23 fps on average. Triple-A games of 2024 fare even worse, in no small part due to Qualcomm's subpar graphics drivers.
Modern games should be playable with these graphics cards at low settings and resolutions. Casual gamers may be happy with these cards.

14 inch display size represents a middle ground between the small subnotebook formats and the screens of the standard 15 inch laptops.
The reason for the popularity of mid-sized displays is that this size is reasonably easy on the eyes, provides good resolutions with usable detail sizes, yet does not consume too much power and the devices can still be reasonably compact.
In the past, 14-inch devices were very rare, but now they are the standard for laptops after the 15-inchers.

The product range includes, for example, laptops, tablets, smartphones, desktops, monitors, TVs and computer peripherals. Since 2007, the group has merged with Gateway Inc. and Packard Bell, which also market their own laptop product lines.
Acer computers are designed for a variety of purposes, including ultrabooks for mobile use, gaming laptops for gamers, affordable options for everyday tasks, and 2-in-1 convertible laptops for versatility. Acer's product portfolio also includes tablets that offer portable computing and multimedia capabilities.
71.9%: This rating is poor. More than three quarters of the models are rated better. That is rather not a purchase recommendation. Even if verbal ratings in this area do not sound that bad ("sufficient" or "satisfactory"), they are usually euphemisms that disguise a classification as a below-average laptop.
