The Lenovo Yoga Slim 7x is another excellent Copilot+ PC that delivers performance and efficiency on par with the best MacBooks running on the M3 chip. It’s also a looker thanks to its elegant ultraportable design. And of course, the OLED display and relatively affordable price serve to make the entire package all the sweeter. Even if it lacks a headphone jack and its AI features aren’t fully realized, the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7x is a Windows laptop worth checking out.

The Lenovo Yoga Slim 7x is a solid addition to the Copilot+ PC line, and a laptop I'd recommend to remote workers, freelancers, and creators looking for a portable, 14-inch laptop with a gorgeous display. Its thin and light form factor makes it a solid option for anyone who travels frequently and might not have reliable access to an outlet. Right now, the Yoga Slim 7x is on sale for $1,039 -- a competitive price -- but if you're looking for a less expensive Copilot+ PC (and are willing to significantly downgrade the display), the HP OmniBook X 14 will run you $949. If you like this laptop's stats but want a bigger screen, check out the Asus Vivobook S 15. Creators might also appreciate the fact that Lenovo is also giving two free months of Adobe Creative Cloud with the purchase of any new Yoga laptop.

Did a lack of longevity put you off a Windows-powered ultraportable before? The Lenovo Yoga Slim 7x could change your mind. It has the battery life to challenge a MacBook Air, a chipset powerful enough for most desktop duties, and a gorgeous OLED screen that’s equally suited to productivity and play. Connectivity is quick, but limited, and ARM emulation doesn’t yet play nicely with every app or program – though that’s Microsoft and Qualcomm’s jobs to fix. The two firms also talk big about NPUs and on-board AI, right now I don’t see them as reason alone to buy a Copilot PC.

The Lenovo Yoga Slim 7x is a great laptop for day-to-day use with typical desktop applications. It offers nice, snappy performance even on battery power. Thanks to the incredible energy efficiency of the Snapdragon X Elite hardware and the reasonably large 70 Watt-hour battery in this machine, this PC gets great battery life – even though it has a high-resolution OLED display. First, you may be curious about Snapdragon X Elite PCs in general. If so, you should probably do some research to see whether the applications you depend on run on Snapdragon X Elite PCs in general.

The Lenovo Yoga Slim 7x delivers smooth performance, strong battery life, and a host of AI features in a lightweight, stylish chassis at a fair mid-range price. It’s a fantastic all-around Windows 11 laptop for students and professionals. While it can’t compete with purpose-built gaming laptops, it can handle some casual gaming. Even if you aren’t explicitly looking for an AI PC, the Yoga Slim 7x is worth considering. The Snapdragon X Elite CPU delivers solid, stable performance in everyday tasks like web browsing or media consumption, on top of the on-device AI features from Microsoft Copilot.

Plus, it has a typing experience that’s tough to beat and a crisp OLED display. If you’re looking for a Windows alternative to the MacBook Air, the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7x should be on your shortlist. It rivals the MacBook Air M3’s performance across the board, with only a few exceptions (like graphics processing).

The Lenovo Yoga Slim 7x 14 could potentially be one of the best laptops on the market, especially in the 14-inch sector. It's a sexy and lightweight machine that comes in an appealing color, a lovely display, a speedy and powerful processor with a long-lasting battery life, and a great keyboard and mousepad combo. My only real gripe is the abysmal port selection that many other laptops in the same market beat out. But then again, if Apple can get away with it, Lenovo most likely can too. Otherwise, it's shaping up to be a convenient and well-rounded laptop that's perfect for consumers needing a productivity or streaming machine and the price is pretty affordable as well.

Snapdragon X Elite laptops arrive in June and Lenovo might have the most elegant one of all with the Yoga Slim 7x. The laptop's slim design and OLED panel are enough to make it enticing but the promised power of Qualcomm’s chip could make it downright irresistible. Will it land a spot on our best Windows laptops list? It’s too early to say, but we’ll know in about a month. Stay tuned for my full review of the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7x!

Qualcomm Adreno X1-85 3.8 TFLOPS: An integrated graphics adapter that four Qualcomm Snapdragon X processors feature, as of Sep 2024. It has 1,536 unified shaders at its disposal that are said to run at up to 1,250 MHz. The underlying architecture is reportedly in many respects the same as what was used in the Adreno 730. While thankfully faster than the aging Intel Iris Xe (96 EUs), the Adreno fails to match the Radeon 780M meaning Baldur's Gate 3, a triple-A title released in 2023, is barely playable at 1080p on low with 23 fps on average. Triple-A games of 2024 fare even worse, in no small part due to Qualcomm's subpar graphics drivers.
Modern games should be playable with these graphics cards at low settings and resolutions. Casual gamers may be happy with these cards.

SD X Elite X1E-78-100: A pretty fast ARM architecture processor (SoC) for use in Windows laptops. The X1E-78-100 is the least powerful member of the Snapdragon X Elite processor series, as of May 2024; as such, it has 12 Oryon CPU cores running at no more than 3.4 GHz and the 3.8 TFLOPS Adreno X1-85 GPU. The 45 TOPS Hexagon NPU, an impressively fast LPDDR5x-8448 memory controller, USB 4.0 support, TB 4 support and PCIe 4 support are included as well.» Further information can be found in our Comparison of Mobile Processsors.

14 inch display size represents a middle ground between the small subnotebook formats and the screens of the standard 15 inch laptops.
The reason for the popularity of mid-sized displays is that this size is reasonably easy on the eyes, provides good resolutions with usable detail sizes, yet does not consume too much power and the devices can still be reasonably compact.
In the past, 14-inch devices were very rare, but now they are the standard for laptops after the 15-inchers.

As of 2004, the company was the largest laptop manufacturer in China and, after acquiring IBM's PC division in 2005, the fourth largest in the world. In addition to desktops and notebooks, the company manufactures monitors, projectors, servers, etc, and specializes in developing, manufacturing and marketing consumer electronics, personal computers, software, enterprise solutions and related services.
In 2016, the company ranked first in the world in computer sales. It still held it in 2023 with about 23% global market share. Important product lines are Thinkpad, Legion and Ideapad.
In 2011, it acquired a majority stake in Medion AG, a European computer hardware manufacturer. In 2014, Motorola Mobility was purchased, which gave Lenovo a boost in the smartphone market.
87%: This is an above-average rating. Nevertheless, it should not be forgotten that about one fifth of all tested models receive a better rating.
