The Lenovo Slim 7 Gen 8 price has dropped to less than $700 at B&H Photo. The machine packs an Intel Core i7-1360P CPU, 16 GB of RAM, and a 1 TB of storage. Additionally, there is a 14-inch 2.8K display with touch support and 100% sRGB coverage.

Back in June, we reported that the Gen 8 Lenovo Slim 7i had hit its record-low price of $699 at B&H Photo. The laptop has now dropped even further to only $649, a discount of $660.99 on the list price. Safe to say, the Lenovo Slim 7i Gen 8 is an excellent value at the price based on the hardware on offer.

The Lenovo Slim 7i Gen 8 equips an Intel Core i7-1360P Raptor Lake processor alongside 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage. Unfortunately, the RAM is soldered to the board and can't be replaced. However, the SSD drive can be upgraded as it is of the M.2 2242 type. You can find plenty of M.2 2242 drives on Amazon.

Performance-wise, the notebook shouldn’t suffer from slowdowns as the Core i7-1360P is a speedy chip that is on the same level as the Core i9-13905H.

Moving to the IPS display, the 14-inch touch-sensitive panel of the Lenovo Slim 7i will please media watchers as the screen has a resolution of 1800p and covers 100% of the sRGB gamut. The panel also enjoys an advertised 400 nits of brightness and a 120 Hz refresh rate. There is also an FHD webcam with support for Windows Hello up top.

Folks who feel like a 14-inch screen is too small and want to connect the laptop to an external display are also covered. The Lenovo Slim 7i has one HDMI 2.1 output as well as two Thunderbolt 4 ports with Power Delivery 3.0 and DisplayPort 1.4. Other connectors include a single Type-A port and a 3.5 mm combo jack.

Rounding off the package is a 65 Wh battery, a backlit keyboard, Wi-Fi 6E, and a low weight of 1.35 kg (2.98 lbs).

Long story short, if you are after a notebook that combines good performance and a quality display at an affordable price, the Lenovo Slim 7i appears to fit the bill rather nicely.
