The Acer Aspire 5 A514-54H is not a laptop that tries to be everything. The display is merely acceptable, the build quality is functional rather than premium, the speakers are forgettable, and the lack of Ethernet means it’s not the ideal desk-bound workhorse. Battery life crossing 11 hours in a standardised test is the icing on top. For a student, a first-time professional laptop buyer, or anyone who needs a capable daily driver without spending Rs 90,000+, the Aspire 5 A514-54H makes a strong case. Just plan on using headphones.

Intel Arc 7-Core: Integrated graphics adapter based on the Xe LPG architecture (similar to the dedicated Arc GPUs, but with a focus on efficiency). Provides 7 of the 8 Xe cores (112 Xe Vector Engines) and 7 ray tracing units.

Modern games should be playable with these graphics cards at low settings and resolutions. Casual gamers may be happy with these cards.

Ultra 5 125H: A mid-range Meteor Lake family chip that debuted in December 2023. This 1st Gen Core Ultra laptop processor has come to replace 13th generation Core chips; it has 14 cores (4 + 8 + 2) and 18 threads at its disposal. Its Performance cores, of which there are 4, run at up to 4.5 GHz while its Efficient cores, of which there are 10 (8 main cores plus 2 extra ones found in the Low Power Island) run at up to 3.6 GHz. The 7-core Arc GPU, just out of the oven, serves as the integrated graphics adapter (this runs at up to 2.20 GHz) and there is a bevy of other brand-new technologies on offer as well such as the integrated AI Boost NPU with two Gen 3 engines for hardware AI workload acceleration.
