AYN Odin 3 and Retroid Pocket 6 get new software updates

Both AYN and Retroid have released new software updates for their flagship Android handhelds, the Odin 3 and Pocket 6 respectively. The updates are OTA-based and include multiple bug fixes for the two handhelds.
AYN Odin 3
The AYN Odin 3 update arrives as version 1.0.0.187, and while it brings no new features, it is packed with fixes that cut across key components such as the GPU, display, and battery. It also includes fixes for select games such as Zenless Zone Zero and PUBG Mobile. Unfortunately, according to comments on the Odin 3 Discord channel, the HDR display and fan noise issues have not been fixed. Nevertheless, below is the changelog for the update:
- Updated the GPU driver to version 800.72, addressing GPU hang issues in graphics-intensive titles such as
Zenless Zone Zero. - Resolved an issue where the microphone remained silent during WeChat voice calls.
- Corrected abnormal resolution display when connecting to AR glasses.
- Fixed random crashes encountered while launching PUBG Mobile.
- Addressed a bug preventing the input method pop-up from appearing during wireless Shizuku pairing.
- Corrected inaccurate battery cutoff current readings in specific apps like Battery Monitor.apk.
It is worth mentioning that you may run into an error (Upgrade failed. code = 20) when trying to update the Odin 3 if you have Rocknix installed. Apparently, the solution is to restore the original bootloader by running the 'restore_backup_abl script as root. The update should run fine after doing this.
Retroid Pocket 6
The update for the Retroid Pocket 6 arrives as version 1.0.0.404, and like the update for the Odin 3, it also fixes some issues with the device. However, there are a few new features, too. Below is the complete changelog:
- Fixed the power drain issue when connecting Retroid Dual Screen Add-on during
sleep mode. - Fixed the permission error regarding isSafetyCenterEnabledin PrebuiltGmsCore
and the Play Store app. - Fixed incorrect string configuration on the lock screen interface.
- Added new gamepad takeover method, supporting vibration feedback and NS Pro
Controller haptic features. - Added ultra black mode support for OLED screen.
