Latest Ayaneo Pocket Micro 2 teaser reveals upgraded thumbsticks and ergonomic design

Another day, another Ayaneo teaser for the Pocket Micro 2. This time, the manufacturer has revealed details about the controls, specifically the thumbsticks. However, a teaser image for the new announcement also reveals some key design changes.
According to Ayaneo, the Pocket Micro 2 will launch with dual TMR joysticks, an upgrade from the Hall Effect thumbsticks of the Pocket Micro (available on Amazon for $229.99). However, that isn't the only major change. The new thumbsticks are also recessed, unlike those of its predecessors which stick out and affect the handheld's pocketability.
The teaser image also shows that the Pocket Micro 2 has a rounder design which is visible in the frame. Ayaneo is also sticking to the “D-pad-on-top” design, while the shoulder buttons extend beyond the corner of the frame.
In addition, there's a new button next to the microSD card that is labelled “LC”. While this button isn't available on the Pocket Micro, the older handheld does have a button on the right that is labelled RC. Since the image doesn't show the right side of the Pocket Micro 2, we do not know if it has an RC button. Nevertheless, the LC button should be customizable, allowing players to map it to different functions, depending on whether it is a long or short press.
The Ayaneo Pocket Micro 2 is truly packing some key upgrades inside and out, but there's still a lot we don't know yet. However, since the June 26 launch date is only a few days away, we don't have to wait so long.
