Ayaneo reveals battery capacity of its upcoming compact handheld

As predicted, Ayaneo's plan is to drip-feed details of the Pocket Micro 2 until its official launch. After confirming the handheld is coming, and then following it up with a summary of the major upgrades, Ayaneo has now revealed the battery capacity of the Pocket Micro 2.
The original Pocket Micro has a 2,600mAh battery capacity, but despite the small size of the handheld, its battery life was one of its shortcomings. While the display size and processor of the Pocket Micro 2 are yet to be revealed, Ayaneo says the handheld will have a 3,950mAh battery capacity, a significant increase over that of the Pocket Micro.
It has already been revealed that the Pocket Micro 2 will have a Snapdragon processor, which should not only be more powerful, but also more power-efficient than the Helio G99 processor of the Pocket Micro. However, only real-world usage can reveal the improvement in battery life.
According to a teaser poster shared, the capacity of the high-density battery is a 52% increase over that of the previous generation. Unfortunately, Ayaneo didn't reveal how fast the handheld charges. The Pocket Micro supports 15W Power Delivery, so it is expected that with the bigger battery, the device should also get a boost in charging speed. Although, like its other handhelds, buyers will provide their own chargers as Ayaneo doesn't ship its handhelds with a power adapter.
It is expected that more details will continue to be revealed as the handheld's release draws closer, as there's still a lot that we don't know about the Pocket Micro 2.
