Pocket Micro 2: Ayaneo reveals more details, including its processor

Ayaneo revealed that its smallest handheld, the Pocket Micro will be getting a successor. While that announcement didn't come with a lot of details, Ayaneo has now shared more information about the upcoming handheld which will arrive as the Pocket Micro 2.
Ayaneo describes the Pocket Micro 2 as a comprehensively upgraded horizontal retro Android handheld. First, it says the handheld will have better ergonomics, which can be interpreted to mean the Pocket Micro 2 may move away from the flat back or boxy design of the Pocket Micro. It could also retain the look of its predecessor, but be more comfortable to hold.
Ayaneo is also promising a significant improvement in performance. While the exact chipset isn't known yet, it has been confirmed that the Helio G99 chip in the Pocket Micro will be replaced with a Snapdragon processor. The more powerful processor should give the Pocket Micro 2 the ability to better emulate retro consoles and more demanding games.
Some reviews of the Pocket Micro highlighted the controls as being one of its weaknesses. Ayaneo seems to have received that feedback, as it says the Pocket Micro 2 will have more comfortable controls. It also says the battery life will be longer, which was another shortcoming of the Pocket Micro (available on Amazon for $239.99).
Last but not least is that the Pocket Micro 2 will retain the premium design of the original. So we can expect a metal shell and glass front. Although, this also means it won't be cheap, and with the high cost of RAM and storage, there's a possibility the Ayaneo Pocket Micro 2 will have a higher starting price than its predecessor.
There's still no release date yet for the device, but it appears Ayaneo's plan is to drip-feed us details of the handheld.
