Retroid shows off color lineup for Pocket Nova

We got our first good look at the upcoming Pocket Nova handheld in a teaser image today, but while that image showed the device in a single color, we speculated there will be more. And just as we predicted, the Pocket Nova will be available in multiple colors, as a matter of fact, there will be seven to choose from.
Retroid has built a reputation for offering its handhelds in a variety of colors. Recently, it released additional colors for the Retroid Pocket 5, which is just a few months from its second anniversary. So it is no surprise that the Pocket Nova will be available to buy in a handful of colors.
According to a new teaser image posted on Retroid's social media accounts, the Retroid Pocket Nova will be available in seven colors, all of which have been borrowed from older handhelds such as the Pocket 6 and the Pocket 4/Pocket 4 Pro (available on Amazon for $179).
In addition to the Crystal color revealed earlier, the Pocket Nova will be available to buy in Watermelon, Clear Purple, and Ice Blue, all of which have a translucent design and matching buttons. There will also be a Black version, a 16 Bit variant with colored ABXY buttons, and the Nintendo GameCube-inspired GC color which has a green A button, a red B button, and a yellow right thumbstick.
All colors of the Pocket Nova will have their D-pads above the left thumbstick, unlike the Retroid Pocket 6 which can be purchased with the D-pad on top or below. We can also make out a microSD card slot, an audio jack, and a USB-C port at the bottom of the handheld.
Retroid is yet to reveal a launch date for the Pocket Nova. It has also only provided technical details of the display. We expect more details will be revealed in due time, but there's a possibility the device may not be released until July.
