Pocket Micro 2 revealed as new compact gaming handheld with premium design and two colours

Ayaneo has shared new details about its next Android gaming handheld release. Recently teased on June 22 as featuring recessed TMR joysticks, the Pocket Micro 2 contains a 3.5 mm jack and a “full-featured” USB Type-C port too.
Additionally, Ayaneo has already confirmed that the Pocket Micro 2 will officially launch on June 26. In the meantime, it has revealed the handheld’s front layout. Overall, the Pocket Micro 2 retains the same form factor as the original Pocket Micro (curr. $229 on Amazon) rather than the newer and cheaper Pocket Micro Classic.
As such, the Pocket Micro 2 has a full glass front. In the process, the handheld has minimal display bezels. Additionally, Ayaneo has included brushed-metal sides and inline shoulder buttons. Unfortunately, hardware specifications remain unknown for now, unlike the Retroid Pocket Nova.
Posting on X, Ayaneo has also showcased the Pocket Micro 2 in two apparent launch colours. Whether the company has more in development remains to be seen at this point, though. Please see the image above and Ayaneo’s embedded tweets for more details.
