Deal | Steam kicks off Summer Sale – these 5 games under $5 shouldn't be missed
The Steam Summer Sale kicked off tonight. Starting now and running through July 9, 2026, thousands of games for PC, Mac, and Steam Deck are available at a discount. To kick off the Summer Sale, we’ve selected five games that currently cost less than $5 and promise dozens of hours of fun for little money. We’ll start with a classic: The Binding of Isaac. The base game costs just $1.54 currently, while the Rebirth Complete Bundle, which includes all three major expansions, costs just $5.06 during the Summer Sale. The bundle has never before been available on for less than $17.97.
If you're looking instead for a superbly told story that you, as a player, can have a major influence on, Detroit: Become Human by Quantic Dream is currently available at for just $3.99, instead of $39.99. This is also an all-time best price. Detroit is set in a world with humanoid robots who grow weary of oppression by humans—and rise up against it.
For fans of open-world action RPGs, Watch Dogs 2 is available during the Summer Sale at for just $2.49 – previously, the game had never been available for less than $4.99. With “very positive” user reviews and varied hacking gameplay, the game is worth a try at this price – though Watch Dogs 2 doesn’t run on the Steam Deck.
There’s still a year to go until the release of Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3, but the Steam Summer Sale gives fans of the series the chance to pick up Xenoverse 2 for just $1.99. In Xenoverse 2, players can create their own character, explore many locations from the manga, and engage in epic battles. The game has never before been offered for less than $5.99.
Rounding out our list isn’t The Witcher 3, Code Vein, or A Plague Tale: Innocence, all of which are available for under $5, but rather an indie hit that absolutely everyone should play: Undertale. The game is available for $2.49, a bargain, even if it isn't the all-time best price.
