AOC has expanded its AGON 5 gaming monitor series, which it debuted last month with the AG275QX/EU and AG275QXN/EU. Now, the company has announced the AG275QZ/EU and AG275QZN/EU, another pair of 27-inch monitors. While last month’s pair topped out at 165 Hz, AOC claims that the AG275QZ/EU and AG275QZN/EU run natively at 240 Hz.
Specifically, the AG275QZ/EU has an IPS panel that offers 10-bit colour depth, 97.5% DCI-P3 colour space coverage and is VESA DisplayHDR 400 certified for at least 400 cd/m2 of peak brightness. For reference, although the AG275QZ/EU operates natively at 240 Hz, its OSD has an option for overclocking its refresh rate to 270 Hz. AOC adds that the monitor has a 2.5K (2,560 x 1,440) resolution, plus 1 ms response times (GtG).
By contrast, the AG275QZN/EU is a VA-based monitor that has worse colour space coverage (89.9% DCI-P3) than its IPS sibling. Still, the VA version has a higher 3,000:1 contrast ratio while maintaining its sibling’s 1 ms GtG response times, VESA DisplayHDR 400 certification and 2.5K native resolution. There is no way to overclock the AG275QZN/EU to 270 Hz, though. Separately, both monitors offer twin HDMI 2.0 ports, two DisplayPort 1.4 ports and a USB 3.2 Gen 1 hub. In a press release, AOC confirmed that the AG275QZ/EU and AGON AG275QZN/EU will be available later this month for £629.99 and £439.99, respectively. More details about both monitors can be found on their respective product listings, which we have linked below.
