One-netbook has introduced another gaming handheld as part of its ONEXPLAYER mini series. Sold simply as the ONEXPLAYER mini, the gaming handheld is a cheaper alternative to the ONEXPLAYER mini Pro that One-netbook sells with the Ryzen 7 6800U. The newer model still features a 7-inch and 1200p display though, along with 16 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 512 GB of PCIe 3.0 x4 storage.
At the heart of the new ONEXPLAYER mini is the Pentium Gold 8505, a 15 W processor from Intel's Alder Lake-U series. Equipped with 5 cores and 6 threads, the Pentium Gold 8505 is one P-core down on the Core i3-1215U but still boosts to 4.4 GHz when needed. For reference, Intel equips the Pentium Gold 8505 with a UHD Graphics Xe G4 iGPU that contains 48 Execution Units (EUs). The new ONEXPLAYER mini ships with a 48 Wh battery and the following ports within its 260 x 106 x 23 mm chassis:
- 1x 3.5 mm jack
- 1x USB 3.0 Type-A
- 1x USB 3.2 Type-C
- 1x USB 4
The ONEXPLAYER mini is available to order now, unlike the ONEXPLAYER 2. Currently, One-netbook offers the new ONEXPLAYER mini for US$599 in white and black colourways but only a single memory configuration. More details about the ONEXPLAYER mini can be found on the device's product page.
