Deal | Lenovo Legion 5 Pro gaming laptop with AMD Ryzen 7 6800H, RTX 3060 and QHD display now on sale for 30% off
This year's Black Friday is just around the corner, but many online shops have already started offering some significant discounts on popular gaming laptops made by reputable companies such as Lenovo. Most notably, a comparatively affordable mid-range configuration of the sought-after Lenovo Legion 5 Pro has now gone on sale at one of the largest retailers in the United States, which allows for savings of almost US$500 or roughly 30 percent.
More specifically, Walmart currently sells the Lenovo Legion 5 Pro with the quick AMD Ryzen 7 6800H octa-core processor and the well-known Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 dGPU with 6GB of GDDR6 VRAM and a high TGP of 140 watts for just US$1,099 instead of the regular list price of US$1,570. This 16-inch gaming laptop is further equipped with 16GB of DDR5 memory as well as a 512GB PCIe 4.0 SSD, which can be easily upgraded with an additional SSD (1TB from US$99 at Amazon) thanks to the second M.2 slot. The Lenovo Legion 5 Pro also comes with a high-resolution QHD IPS display with a quick native refresh rate of 165Hz, which may be the most obvious difference to lower-priced gaming notebooks.
We've thoroughly tested an even faster RTX 3070 Ti-powered version of the Lenovo Legion 5 Pro earlier this year, and we've also illustrated the strengths and weaknesses of this notebook in a video review. Among other things, we found that the QHD display is very bright and has a good color reproduction, but we also liked relatively easy serviceability and the decent battery life 4.5 hours when browsing the web. The gaming laptop also has many connectivity options and can be charged very quickly. The robust chassis is arguably another strong suit of the Lenovo Legion 5 Pro, which is a pretty good overall bargain at the currently discounted sale price of just US$1,099.
