Handheld aficionados may already be familiar with the Aokzoe A1X, which initially started crowdfunding on Kickstarter on April 17. Now, the manufacturer has just announced a launch date for June 17, but the device can already be pre-ordered directly from the manufacturer's website. Potential buyers should familiarize themselves with the shipping conditions beforehand.
The Aokzoe A1X comes in four variants, all with 7,500 MT/s LPDDR5X RAM and an M.2 2280 SSD. Differences between the models are highlighted:
- 8840U/32GB/1TB: $899.00
- HX370/32GB/1TB: $1,239.00
- HX370/32GB/2TB: $1,339.00
- HX370/64GB/2TB: $1,599.00
The handheld is equipped with an OCuLink port, which supports the connection of external devices, especially GPUs with a data transfer rate of up to 64 Gbps. This should give the device's graphics a significant performance boost. The 8-inch native landscape touchscreen has a resolution of 1920 x 1200, supports 10-point multi-touch, peaks at 500 nits brightness and dynamically adjusts its refresh rate between 60 and 120 Hz, supported by VRR technology. Further features include 100% sRGB color space coverage, scratch-resistant glass and DC dimming.
On top of the aforementioned OCuLink port, there are also two USB 4.0 ports (40 Gbps), one USB 3.2 Gen 2 port (10 Gbps), a Micro SD 4.0 card slot (300 MB/s) and an audio jack. Lastly, the 72.7 Wh battery can be charged with up to 100 watts. Further details about the Aokzoe A1X, including its capacitive joysticks and 3-axis gyroscope, can be found on the pre-order website.
