Anbernic has officially confirmed the launch date of the RG34XX SP, which it has set for May 16. As usual, the company has decided to offer special early bird pricing to entice people to pick up its latest gaming handheld, which follows in the footsteps of the Miyoo Flip V2 and the RG35XX SP (curr. $76.99 on Amazon).
This time, Anbernic has decided to price its new gaming handheld at $59.99, compared to $234.99 for the RG557 that arrived less than a month ago. According to Retro Handhelds, this early bird pricing will last until May 19, after which Anbernic will charge $66.99 for each of the handheld's four colour options with a 64 GB MicroSD card.
To recap, the RG34XX SP features a 3.4-inch IPS display with a 720 x 480-pixel native resolution to provide a 3x integer scaling when emulating Game Boy Advance games. While the device contains the same Allwinner H700 chipset as the RG35XX SP, Anbernic has included 2 GB of RAM for a moderate performance boost in some cases. The RG34XX SP will utilise a 3,300 mAh battery that supports USB Type-C charging too; please see the video below for more information.
