While the powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite has been confirmed on paper in a Galaxy Z Fold7 certification, the third Samsung teaser gives us a small taste of the improvements that can be expected in the Samsung foldable in terms of cameras.

The latest Samsung teasers have come under criticism for their marketing babble, which is certainly justified. After all, very little content is described in many words, but some information can always be extracted. For example, the video below clearly indicates, at least for us, the pixel structure of a camera sensor, probably an indirect reference to a 200-MP sensor in the successor to the Galaxy Z Fold6.

There is no mention of this in the official text accompanying the video. Instead, the topic of Galaxy AI is once again mentioned, this time in relation to mobile photography. Galaxy phones have been said to be "smarter" than competing devices since the Galaxy S24, and with each new Samsung launch, the topic of Galaxy AI has been expanded. This will likely be the case again with the Galaxy Z Fold7 and Galaxy Z Flip7 in summer 2025, especially in regard to the camera features.

FCC confirms Snapdragon 8 Elite

Specifically, the camera will serve as an "eye" that can perceive and interpret the environment thanks to multimodal LLMs (Large Language Models), making the Galaxy Z Fold7's camera the centerpiece of the Galaxy AI offensive and offerring users added value. Meanwhile, the FCC in the US has confirmed that at least the US Galaxy Z Fold7 will launch with the Snapdragon 8 Elite (SM8750). We also expect the same for the European model, unlike the Galaxy Z Flip7 and Galaxy Z Flip7 FE.
