The Soundcore Nebula P1 is now available in the US with a special launch discount and a free 100-inch screen. According to Anker, it's the first projector with detachable speakers, and it packs other solid features like a 1080p resolution, 650 ANSI lumens brightness, and Dolby Audio in a compact, portable design.

Anker has now launched the Soundcore Nebula P1 portable projector in the US after unveiling it last month. Marketed as the first portable projector with detachable speakers, the Nebula P1 arrives as a cheaper and more travel-friendly alternative to the Nebula X1 Pro mobile home theater station, which also features detachable speakers.

The Nebula P1 is priced at $799, but Anker is kicking things off with a limited-time $80 discount, dropping the price to $719. Buyers also receive a free 100-inch Outdoor Projector Screen with Stand worth $169, for total savings of $249.

As we previously reported, the Nebula P1 comes with two detachable 10W speakers that can be placed anywhere in a room for true 2.0 surround sound. According to Anker, the speakers connect instantly via Bluetooth and deliver room-filling sound with 85 dB loudness, 65 Hz bass, and Dolby Audio support. On top of that, the speakers can last for up to 20 hours between recharges, but interestingly, the projector itself has no built-in battery. Unlike the older Nebula Mars 3 Air (curr: $419.99 with Amazon Prime), users will need an external power supply.

That said, the Nebula P1 is a DLP projector capable of producing crisp and detailed images up to 180 inches wide with a 1.2:1 throw ratio and 1080p resolution. It uses an LED light source that is said to deliver up to 650 ANSI lumens of brightness, meaning it's a lot brighter and better suited for outdoors than previous Anker portable models like the Nebula Mars 3 Air (400 ANSI lumens) and Capsule 3 (300 ANSI lumens). The projector also covers up to 124% of the Rec. 709 color gamut, which should result in accurate colors out of the box.

As expected, the Nebula P1 includes convenient setup tools such as real-time autofocus and keystone correction. More notably, it features a built-in dual-arm gimbal that allows users to adjust the projection angle by up to 130°. Like previous models, it runs Google TV with popular streaming apps such as Netflix pre-installed. Users can also connect external devices like laptops, consoles, or smartphones via HDMI, USB-C, and USB-A ports. Other features include 2GB RAM, 32GB internal storage, and IP33 protection for the projector and IP54 for speakers.

The Soundcore Nebula P1 is now available on Amazon and Anker’s official Nebula online store for a special launch price of $719, bundled with a 100-inch projector screen at no additional cost.
