With a screen size of 6.3 inches, the Google Pixel 10 Pro is one of the more compact smartphones on the market. As a result, its 4,870mAh battery is also relatively small, at least compared to larger smartphones or the compact phones from certain Chinese competitors. For example, the Vivo S30 Pro Mini sports a 6,500mAh battery in a similarly sized chassis.
The situation is quite different when looking at competitors from Samsung and Apple. The Apple iPhone 16 Pro has an almost tiny 3,582mAh battery, while the Samsung Galaxy S25 (from $779 on Amazon) comes with 4,000mAh. The YouTube channel Lover of Tech has now published a battery life comparison test, which is embedded below and shows how the Pixel 10 Pro holds up against its two best-selling competitors with the same form factor. The test simulates realistic everyday usage by alternating between video recording, social media apps, YouTube videos and gaming.
The display brightness was set to 200 nits on all three devices. In this scenario, the iPhone 16 Pro runs out of juice first after 6 hours and 15 minutes. Just five minutes later, the Galaxy S25's battery also gives out. The Google Pixel 10 Pro, on the other hand, lasts 7 hours and 1 minute and outperforms the competition. While its efficiency is slightly worse, the larger battery pays off. As usual, the actual battery life will heavily depend on individual use cases.
