The Samsung Galaxy A70s' latest update makes it compatible with Link to Windows

The A70s is essentially a recent refresh of the Samsung Galaxy A70 with this OEM's latest 64MP ISOCELL Bright image sensor in its rear camera set-up. It is now being kept in an up-to-date fashion with a new official OTA download from its maker. This 316MB package adds the new phone to a short list of Link to Windows-compatible phones.

This feature is one Samsung has partnered with Microsoft for, and mainly applies to some of its 2019 Android devices, including the Note 10s, S10s and Galaxy Fold. It supplants the older Your Phone feature, by which phones with this OS could co-ordinate with Windows PCs via Bluetooth to deliver effects such as screen-mirroring.

Link to Windows does much the same, although it uses Wi-Fi to connect and is effectively exclusive to Samsung devices to date. The Galaxy A70s' new update (known as A707FDDU1ASK1) does indeed replace the Your Phone app with pathways to its replacement within the device's UI.

It also confers the ability to use USB type C headphones on the phone (which, as it has a 3.5mm port, is odd), as well as the October 2019 security patch level. However, it does still leave the device on One UI 1.1, based on Android Pie (9.0).
