The market for in-app advertisements worldwide is now projected to be worth approximately US$226 billion in 6 years, according to the latest research. Of these, ads on Android are thought to be capable of the highest growth. In addition, the Asia-Pacific (APAC) sector is thought to exhibit the most growth between 2019 and 2025.

Those ads that pop up while an app is open may be a particularly annoying and distracting form of monetization for developers. However, the latest market research report, published by Grand View Research, Inc., inidicates that they are not going anywhere anytime soon. The market based on this ad type is now estimated to grow until it hits a value of US$226.4 billion by 2025.

In-app ads may seem to be ubiquitous sometimes; however, Grand View Research now believes that their market will grow at a compound annual rate of 19.4% over the next 6 years due to their demand in some specific sectors. They include apps that operate in or serve the retail, education and entertainment markets.

The in-app ad market is (obviously) divided along major software ecosystem lines. Of these, Android is projected to remain the most prominent until 2025. This is due to an upward trend in the demand for and ownership of these phones in comparison to iOS devices.

Finally, even though the APAC region is thought to be capable of the greatest growth, North America is thought to remain the strongest sector of the in-app ad market in terms of location.
