Dell has packaged its latest PCs for business with its Optimizer, a suite of AI services designed to deliver "productivity without disruptions". They include features that might admittedly be more welcome than ever before, Intelligent Privacy, ExpressConnect and Intelligent Audio included.

More and more of us are spending more and more time with their work PCs than ever; therefore, many of us would prefer to streamline things like logins so as not to waste much of it. To this end, Dell has launched a new version of its Optimizer solutions with its latest Precision and Latitude machines.

It includes features such as ExpressResponse to "enhance the speed and performance" of the apps used most often. There is also a new Intelligent Privacy option in 2022. Dell claims that it can detect "onlookers" and be set to activate Safe Screen in these cases. It may also set the PC to automatically dim the screen if it can tell the user has looked away.

Dell also asserts that ExpressCharge is also particularly important in this day and age. The OEM has secured itself a quote from Peiying Zhang, COO of Schreder Australia, in which the executive finds that they can now "easily work for 12 hours without plugging in".

Similarly, Intelligent Audio is touted as capable of turning any environment into a work-space. It is based on "neural" noise cancellation technology to ensure the user is the only thing heard through a device's mics on calls. Kelly Durant, the Director of Organizational Learning at the People's Emergency Center of the Philippines, endorses it as a potential life-saver in emergency shelter conditions.

The Dell Optimizer suite is available to variable degrees depending on the series of PC in question: for example, the full suite of apps is found on a new Precision 7000 unit, whereas a Latitude 9000 might lack its Analytics feature.
