Dell's newest Precision 5570 laptop is now official with Nvidia's mobile workstation graphics cards, a UHD+ screen, and plenty of Thunderbolt ports
Dell unveiled a load of workstation laptops today featuring some powerful hardware in a relatively compact form factor. There are quite a few options for a larger screen, such as the Dell Precision 5570. Compared to the Precision 5470, it offers more graphics card options but cuts down on one Thunderbolt port. The laptop will be available for purchase in April 2022.
The Dell Precision 5570 features a 15-inch IPS LCD panel available in multiple configurations. Touch functionality is available only on the UHD+ (3,840 x 2,400) variant, which has a peak brightness of 500 nits and covers 100% of the AdobeRGB and 99% of the DCI-P3 colour gamuts. Its non-touch variant has an FHD+ (1,920 x 1,200) resolution and covers 100% of the SRGB spectrum while retaining the 500 nits brightness.
Interestingly enough, Dell has two separate battery configurations for the Precision 5570. One is a 3-cell 56 Wh unit, and the other is a 6-cell 86 Wh variant. Both support up to 130 W fast charging via the included Thunderbolt ports, of which there are three. Other connectivity options include Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, a 3.5 mm audio jack and an SD card reader. A fingerprint sensor and a Windows Hello-enabled webcam handle biometric authentication.
Lastly, one can configure the Dell Precision 5570 with up to an Intel Core i9-12900HK processor, an Nvidia RTX A2000 (8 GB VRAM) or RTX A1000 (4 GB VRAM) graphics card, 64 GB of 4,800 MT/s DDR5 RAM and a 4TB NVMe SSD. Operating system choices include Windows 11, Ubuntu, and Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
