As workforces incorporate more remote and disjoint members, conference calling has become more important than ever and continues to serve as the lynchpin of communication for a modern office. Dell has you covered with two new products aimed at handling calls and conferencing in a sleek and convenient manner.
The Dell Slim Conferencing Soundbar (SB522A) is the latest iteration of Dell’s popular monitor-mounted soundbars. The 4.5 Watt soundbar attaches magnetically to the bottom of a compatible Dell P- or U-series monitor. The soundbar attaches to the display (or computer) via a short 15 cm USB-A cable. It features a built-in microphone with AI-powered noise and echo cancellation and support for duplex audio, which allows multiple speakers to talk at the same time and still be clearly heard. It has a dedicated “MS Teams Button” that “provides quick access to meetings and notifications,” according to Dell.
The Dell Speakerphone (SP3022) is a relatively small speaker that can connect to a monitor, laptop, or desktop computer via an integrated USB-A cable with a built-in USB-C adapter. It has a single omnidirectional microphone built into its body so users can send and receive phone calls. The microphone supports AI noise and echo cancellation. There are two 1.6 Watt speakers that support duplex audio, just like the soundbar. The speakerphone has buttons across the front for answering a phone call, adjusting the volume, and muting the mic. It also has a dedicated MS Teams Button like the soundbar.
The Dell Slim Conferencing Soundbar is available now for US$79.99. The Speakerphone is also available now for $99.99.
