Xiaomi confirms new Xiaomi Tag release with official pricing revealed

It seems that the launch of Xiaomi's Apple AirTag alternative is almost upon us (curr. $64 on Amazon). Previously, scant details about the Xiaomi Tag were known. Now, Xiaomi France has provided a detailed look at the accessory and how it will shape up when Xiaomi eventually releases it.
Reportedly, the Xiaomi Tag leverages a CR2032 battery for power. Around 7.2 mm thick, the device is said to last for up to a year before needing a new battery. Quandt adds that the tracker is compatible with Apple's Find My and Google's Find Hub services. However, the Xiaomi Tag can only do so via Bluetooth 5.4 and NFC with no ultra-wideband (UWB) support to speak of.
Apparently, a UWB version will launch at some stage. Exactly when remains unclear for now, though. Xiaomi France currently shows €17.99 launch pricing (~$21) for a single unit and €59.99 (~$71) for a pack of four. Unfortunately, Xiaomi France has not indicated when the Xiaomi Tag will be available to purchase. There is a chance that the Xiaomi Tag debuts alongside the Xiaomi 17, Xiaomi 17 Ultra, Xiaomi Pad 8 and Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro before MWC 2026 in early March, though.
