The Garmin DriveTrack 72, a GPS navigator and in-vehicle dog tracker, has been released in various countries globally. It features a 7-inch color screen, which you can use to navigate, with turn-by-turn directions. Plus, it can show the location of up to 20 dogs, with further tools available via the Garmin Drive app.

Garmin has released a new GPS device worldwide: the DriveTrack 72. This in-vehicle dog tracker arrives as an upgraded version of the DriveTrack 71, with canine monitoring and navigation features.

The Garmin DriveTrack 72 has a 6.95-inch IPS color TFT display with a 1,024 x 600 px resolution. You can use the screen to track up to 20 dogs from inside your vehicle, with the name, distance and direction of each canine shown. This model is compatible with handheld devices like the Alpha 100 and the Alpha 200i (curr. $499.99 at Amazon), as well as the Alpha T 20 Dog Collar.

The DriveTrack 72 also functions as a GPS Navigator, suited to both on and off-road journeys with turn-by-turn directions. Plus, birdseye satellite imagery can be downloaded via Wi-Fi, helping you to navigate an area you do not know well. On top of this, users can view weather forecasts, traffic information, and get smart notifications via the Garmin Drive app. It also has a 50% longer battery than the DriveTrack 71, running for around 1.5 hours between charges.

You can now buy the Garmin DriveTrack 72 for $499.99/£389.99/€449.99 at the brand’s online store in countries like the US, the UK and the Netherlands.
