Chipolo has announced two new Bluetooth trackers called the Loop and the Card, and what makes them special is that they are rechargeable, a first for Chipolo. Both trackers are also compatible with Apple Find My and Google's Find Hub a.k.a. Google Find My Device.
The two Bluetooth trackers have several features in common but are also quite different especially with how they look and their use cases. For starters, the Chipolo Loop has a round design and has a flexible silicone loop that allows users to easily attach it to their belongings. It is also available in six colorful options like the Chipolo Pop (pack of four available on Amazon for $76).
On the other hand, the Chipolo Card is designed like a credit card and can fit into wallets, purses, or phone cases. Chipolo says it is 2.5mm thick which is about the thickness of two credit cards. It is available in a single black color option, and unlike the Loop which charges via USB-C, it charges wirelessly (Qi wireless charging support).
Chipolo says both the Loop and the Card should last up to 6 months on a single charge. The two trackers also have an extended Bluetooth range of up to 400 feet and are rated IP67 for dust and water resistance. Both the Loop and Card have integrated speakers, but while the Loop reaches 125dB, the card has a loudness level of 110dB.
Owners will be able to ring the trackers using either the Apple Find My app or Find Hub app depending on which platform the tracker was set up on. In addition to sound, there's also the option to let the trackers' charging light blink, so they can be easily found in the dark.
Users can also install the Chipolo app which provides extra features such as the ability to ring your phone by pressing the power button on the tracker. It also allows users to change the ringtone of the tracker, while Android users can benefit from out-of-range alerts.
The Chipolo Loop and Chipolo Card are available to pre-order now ahead of their release in October. They are both priced at €45 in Europe and $39 in the US. Buyers can also score a discount if they purchase a pack of four Loops for €145/$124.80 instead of €180/$156 or a pack of six Loops for €199/$175 instead of €270/$234.
