There are already a few trackers available to buy that support Android's Find My Device Network such as the Motorola Moto Tag, the Chipolo One Point, and Pebblebee's universal trackers. However, these trackers aren't actually affordable, with the cheapest being the $28 Chipolo One Point. Now, a new entry in the segment is the MiLi MiTag tracker, and it undercuts the competition with its more affordable price tag.
Priced at $17.99, the MiLi MiTag (a.k.a. MiTag Go) is shaped like a coin with a hole at one end for a lanyard or key ring. It has a Bluetooth range of 150 meters (500 feet), an IP67 dust and water resistance rating, and an integrated speaker. It is easy to set up and works with a wide range of Android devices as long as they have the Find My Device app installed.
The MiTag can be attached to a variety of objects and even pets with the right accessories. Using the Find my Device app, owners can locate their belongings up to an accuracy of 1 meter, and can ring it to know exactly where it is.
According to the manufacturer, the MiTag has a battery life of between 8 to 12 months, although the battery isn't rechargeable like that of the Pebblebee Clip. Nevertheless, it uses a CR2032 coin battery which is easily replaceable.
The MiTag has an MSRP of $17.99 but Amazon currently has it for $12.99. You can also pick up a pack of four for $42.99, albeit for a limited time.
MiLi also has a version of the tracker called the MiTag Duo that works with both Android and Apple devices but it costs $24.99. There's also the MiCard Pro which has a credit card-like design, allowing it to fit into wallets and purses. It has a rechargeable battery but requires a wireless charger.
