Xiaomi Mijia Sweeping and Mopping Robot 2 pre-orders available now
The Xiaomi Mijia Sweeping and Mopping Robot 2 is now available to pre-order in China. The device can vacuum with up to 5,000 Pa suction power and brushes to help collect dirt along the edge of the room. The dual mop heads rotate at high speed, 180 rpm to be exact, to provide a deeper clean.
The robot will automatically return to the dock to clean the mops to ensure that dirt is not spread around your home; the gadget is preset to clean itself every 5 m² (~54 ft²), though this can be adjusted to 10 m² (~108 ft²). The hands-free cleaning experience is enhanced with a quiet, room-temperature air drying feature, automatically drying the mop heads. Plus, the mops will automatically lift when a carpet is detected to avoid wetting the fabric. You can control the robot via Xiao AI voice commands or the Mijia app, scheduling future cleans and choosing whether the gadget should vacuum then mop or carry out both functions simultaneously.
The Xiaomi device is powered by a 5,200 mAh battery and uses LDS laser technology to navigate your home and avoid obstacles. The robot vacuum has a 430 ml onboard dustbin, and the docking station contains 4L clean and dirty water tanks. You can pre-order the Xiaomi Mijia Sweeping and Mopping Robot 2 in China for 1,999 yuan (~US$291) with a 100 yuan (~US$15) deposit. When this pre-sale event ends on May 10, the gadget’s price is expected to increase to 2,499 yuan (~US$364).
