Roborock S8 robot vacuum arrives in US with new model coming to EU
Roborock is continuing to roll out the S8 robot vacuum line-up. The S8+ and S8 Pro Ultra models will launch in the EU on April 27. Customers who purchase the Pro Ultra will initially be offered a €100 discount on the €1,499 MSRP, reducing the price to €1,399. No deal appears to be available for the S8+, which costs €899. The S8 arrived in the EU earlier this year, retailing for €699.
The Roborock S8 series robot vacuums are also about to launch in the US. On April 21, the S8, S8+ and S8 Pro Ultra models will arrive stateside, retailing for US$749.99, US$999.99 and US$1,599.99, respectively. Introductory offers will be available on the first two models until April 25; customers can save US$150 off the S8, reducing the price to US$599.99, and US$200 off the S8+, bringing the cost down to US$799.99. The S8 Pro Ultra does not appear to launch with a discount.
Unveiled at CES 2023, the S8 is the basic robot vacuum and mop model, with up to 6,000 Pa suction power, a 5,200 mAh battery, and ultrasonic carpet detection to raise the mop heads as necessary. The S8+ adds a smart docking station, which can automatically empty the onboard dustbin. The range-topping S8 Pro Ultra enhances hands-free cleaning, adding clean and dirty water tanks and a mop cleaning and drying system to the dock.
