New TCL S64 Series cheaper award-winning soundbars unveiled
TCL has launched a new S64 Series Home Theatre Soundbar range, which has won a 2023 Red Dot Award for design. The line-up includes the S643W 3.1ch Soundbar and the S642W 2.1ch Soundbar. Both devices include HDMI 1.4 ARC ports, supporting Dolby Audio and DTS Virtual:X technology.
A Bass Boost feature makes for a more dramatic sound, and you can choose from six specialized settings, such as movie or game mode, to optimize the audio for the content. You can wirelessly connect to the speaker thanks to Bluetooth 5.3 and control the gadgets using a voice assistant. The TCL S643W soundbar contains three full-range speakers with a total output of 240W. A wireless 70W subwoofer accompanies the speaker, and speech-enhancing technology makes it easier to hear the dialogue in the TV or movie you are watching.
The S642W has dual speakers for a 200W output and comes with a lower-powered 60W subwoofer. The new soundbars have been designed to accompany TCL’s latest TVs, including the C84, C74 and C64 models. The TCL S642W and S643 soundbars are expected to retail in the EU for €150 and €180, respectively; the exact launch date of the gadgets remains unclear. It is also unknown whether or not the devices could arrive in other markets.
