Skyworth has launched the Coocaa X5 Projector in China. The cheaper model has a native 1080p resolution with support for 4K decoding and up to 800 ANSI lumens brightness. Features of the device include autofocus, auto obstacle avoidance and wireless screen mirroring. Plus, you can customize the projector with office and kids modes.

The Skyworth Coocaa X5 Projector has been launched in China. The 1080p device supports 4K file decoding, with an LCD delivering up to 800 ANSI lumens brightness; the light source is expected to last up to 30,000 hours. The projector is listed as having a 1.2:1 throw ratio, though the recommended maximum image size is not provided.

You can quickly perfect the image produced by the X5 with autofocus, auto-calibration and automatic obstacle avoidance tools. The Coocaa projector is compatible with dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, allowing you to wirelessly link and mirror content from mobile devices. You can connect other gadgets, such as game consoles and external speakers, via HDMI, USB and 3.5 mm audio ports. The gadget runs on Coocaa OS 9.1, with two built-in 5W speakers and a passive radiator subwoofer, generating a maximum of 30 dB operating noise.

Other features include voice commands, an office mode and a kids mode, which provides content filters and additional eye protection. From April 25, you can buy the Skywoth Coocaa X5 Projector in China for 999 yuan (~US$145). It is unclear whether or when the gadget could arrive in other markets. Skyworth has previously released products like the S1 4K outdoor TV in North America via an Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign.
