MagyarXiaomi TV Box S (2nd Gen) now available in Europe
The Xiaomi TV Box S (2nd Gen) is now available in the UK and EU via AliExpress. The 4K Ultra HD Streaming Media Player supports Dolby Vision and HDR10+ visual formats and Dolby Atmos and DTS-HD audio technology. Compared to the older model, the new streaming hub uses Google TV rather than Android TV, providing the same access to streaming services such as Disney+ and Apple TV. Alternatively, you can use Chromecast to share content from your smartphone to the TV.
The TV Box S (2nd Gen) has an IR remote with dedicated buttons for Netflix, Prime Video and YouTube. You can also use Google Assistant voice commands to find content or control linked smart home devices. The Xiaomi gadget has a more powerful quad-core Cortex-A55 CPU with 2GB RAM + 8GB ROM and supports Bluetooth 5.2, an upgrade from the previous model, and dual-band Wi-Fi connectivity. The compact device measures 95 x 95 x 17 mm (~3.75 x 3.75 x 0.66-in) and has built-in HDMI 2.1 and USB 2.0 ports.

The product ships from China, with delivery to the UK scheduled for mid-May. A product page on the global version of the Xiaomi website suggests that you will soon be able to buy the streaming hub directly from the company’s physical and online stores.
