Samsung Galaxy Watch4 and Galaxy Watch4 Classic receive second One UI Watch beta update with numerous fixes and changes
Samsung has released another version of One UI Watch 4.5 to the Galaxy Watch4 and Galaxy Watch4 Classic on its One UI Watch beta program. Bundled with Wear OS 3.5, the second beta build contains various improvements and bug fixes, which may explain its 335.58 MB download size. For some reason, Samsung has not communicated when this year's One UI Watch beta programme will end. Presumably, the Galaxy Watch5 series will be the first devices to launch with stable One UI Watch 4.5 builds though, which is expected to arrive in August.
Rolling out as R8xxXXU1ZVF5, the second beta build arrives just a few days after R8xxFXXU1FVE1, a stable update that contains far fewer changes. According to Samsung's changelog, R8xxXXU1ZVF5 has enhanced GPS stability, as well as improving general app performance. Additionally, R8xxXXU1ZVF5 is billed as stabilising health functions, while also improving running and swimming activity tracking performance.
Incidentally, Samsung claims to have addressed power consumption issues that affected the first beta build. Moreover, Samsung states that R8xxXXU1ZVF5 improves the stability of its Health app and fixes various issues relating to the call receiving screen, reminder alarm and the weather app. R8xxXXU1ZVF5 is rolling out now to Galaxy Watch4 series devices enrolled on the One UI Watch beta programme in at least South Korea.
