Samsung Galaxy S27 series' cameras outlined: New main cameras, two zoom lenses on the Ultra, and other details
With the launch of the all-new Galaxy Z Fold8 and the Z Flip8 out of the way, Samsung now has its sights firmly set on its next-gen flagship phones, the Galaxy S27 series. The Galaxy S27 lineup is expected to offer four models, and new leaks have now revealed what to expect from them in the camera department.
According to Roland Quandt of Winfuture, the vanilla Galaxy S27 and the S27 Plus are set to offer identical camera hardware, with a 50 MP main camera, a 12 MP ultra-wide angle camera, and unspecified telephoto lenses appearing on both devices. As already reported, the main sensors on the two phones will be made by Sony and are expected to finally be upgrades on previous generations. The ultra-wide angle cameras are said to be unchanged from the Galaxy S26 and S26 Plus, however.
Instead of an "Edge" model, Samsung will offer a Galaxy S27 Pro next year. The S27 Pro will sit right beneath the Galaxy S27 Ultra, and is tipped to feature the same 50 MP IMX855 as the Ultra beneath its ultra-wide angle lens. No information is provided on the Galaxy S27 Pro's main camera, but a 50 MP telephoto lens and a 16 MP selfie camera are mooted, with both cameras reportedly equipped with optical image stabilization.
As for the Galaxy S27 Ultra, the line-leading model is said to sport a 50 MP 5x zoom camera, as well as an a secondary zoom lens. Previous reports claimed it would ditch the secondary telephoto camera entirely but those rumors have now been called into question. A 16 MP selfie camera has also been touted.
