Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra: Final camera design with a new look after all
If you're not going to make any changes to the internals, then at least make it look good, which is exactly what Samsung did to the camera of the Galaxy Z Fold 6 (available here at Amazon). Technically completely unchanged from the Galaxy Z Fold 5 of the previous year, it not only looks more modern with its three camera rings, but also larger, which is definitely a lure for clueless consumers.
History appears to be repeating itself in the case of the Galaxy S25 Ultra. Almost a month ago, a leaker visualized what the Galaxy S25 Ultra might look like next year based on leaked CAD models, but the camera design proved to be controversial at the time. After all, the CAD models did not provide a definitive answer to the question of how Samsung's new camera design would differ from that of the Galaxy S24 Ultra. The matter can now finally be put to rest, according to well-known leaker Ice Universe on X (formerly Twitter, see below).
According to his hints, Samsung will indeed follow the same principle as with the Galaxy Z Fold 6 in order to give the impression of novelty, even if only the ultra-wide-angle camera hardware has changed (provided that previous leaks are correct). The five rings on the back of the Galaxy S25 Ultra are very similar, but not identical, to those on the Galaxy Z Fold 6. As things stand, all three Galaxy S25 models will be launched with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, while major changes are likely to be planned for the Galaxy S25 FE.
